patchkit for frabill shanties

i just picked up a used shantie a ranger xlt had 4holes in it .couldnt find decent patch kit called the company can get patches 12inch x12inch for $6 each . glue does not come with it .any ideas on glue to use

I used the iron on patches you use to repair torn pant knees. Put em on last year and they are still holding.

Use some similar material and shoe goop.

Hey Walleygod---I called the company to get that patch just in case my recon gets a hole in it  later on.  The sales person told me to use "shoe goo" .  You can find it at wal-mart or just about anywhere(different running shoes stores) Gunner

The shoe goop comes in different sizes, buy just the size you need, if you can. It sets up in the tube if you leave it  awhile. If you cant find material, use an old canvas shopping bag.

I had 2,3 corner tares in it my better half sewed them for me that was 3 years ago still good

Iron on patches work really well. I put one on my old Fish Trap 5 years ago..still holding up very well. I put one on the inside and one outside..back to back then ironed them together. Use an old iron as there's apt to be some hot melt adhesive residue which will not be appreciated if you use your better half's good iron.

I had an old frabill hideout which fed the garage mice for a whole summer.  I cut patches out of some of my old jeans and glued them on with a milky white glue product called Tear Mender.  Worked very well and reasonably fast.  I gave that old hut away about 10 yrs ago and the patches are still holding well for my buddy.

tear mender, the stuff works wonders stays flexable too i have bought it at fleet farm here im not sure if walmart sells it or not works for clothes and anything else the welders at work even use it on there leathers.

Old Duct Tape when the sun is out place it inside and out side the hole, lasted for 5 years so far, cheap!

hey guys just in case the tent is totaly wiped out i can get new tent for $200 beats buying the whole kit and kabootle was spelling close

i burnt some big holes in mine this year and used gorrilla tape made by the gorilla glue company and is doing a good job.
