Ice Breaking
« on: Feb 22, 2008, 08:49 AM »
Ice breaking will commence at the End of Main on March 1.  All fish houses in that area should be moved upstream or removed before then.

All fish houses must be removed from the Red River by midnight March 9.

The Cats on the Red access will also be closed on March 1.

Dunno'... ask the province why they decided to expand the Floodway and post the East side off limits to you 'till they figure it's OK???
In the meantime, say "thanks" to Stu for offering up his PRIVATE property in the first place  ;).

Thanks for the access.  You saved my heart from having to walk a mile down the river.

So is the last day to drive down and remove our shack on March 1st?  Or February 29th?

When the spider gets on Netley Creek at the EOM around March 1, 2008 it breaks the ice.  Access after that will be Goldeye Creek or just north of Willow Springs campground.  It's your call.

Thanks Andre  :)

Just an observation:

From past experience, fishing is extremely poor once the Amphibex starts working.......(when did it become the "spider"......but that suits it  :D)  Not sure if it was a coincidence........noi se from the spider or the increase in current staining the water  or both ???

Can anyone confirm how much notice was given for removal? When did notices appear on shelters?
