Plump Pike
« on: Feb 19, 2008, 10:07 AM »
Caught my first PIKE... Not to long but he/she was PLUMP....  30". I did not weigh it. But it actually was chubby...
New York, Lake Lonely on Tipup in 15' of water. Treble hook on steel leader with large bait (Shiner?) Released to swim again.

Does it mean it was full of eggs or just had good eatin ???

My Dog thinks its a baby Seal..

Dito, that thing looks like it's about ready to bust open around its fins.

Nice pike, Axle.

GORGEOUS PIKE MAN!  Wow...that thing definitely overcame annorexia to live a happy and healthy like.  Glad you released her.  She'll be depositing those eggs very soon.  That was a responsible action to return a fish like that.  Our fisheries would be 3 fold if everyone did the same...thanks.
