Welcome to your new Addiction!!!

This is the latest Online Icefishing game. In this game, you are fishing on your computer like you would be ice fishing in your area. There are mulitiple options including; 10 different lakes, single player or ONLINE PLAY with your friends, single game, cup type tourneys, different lures, different baits, and chatting with your friends as you play together. Start playing now and we could hold online tourney over the coming summer!

INSTALL

Download the http://www.kalassa.net/propilkki2/index.php?id=1 game itself.

You will get a "shortcut" on your start menu that you can doubleclick to enter the game. Once you get the game open, just poke around and you will figuire out what you want to do.

How do I pause the game?
Answer: the esc key

How do I get back to my windows desktop without closing the game?
Answer: Use the windows key or alt+tab

How do I get my ip to start a network game?
Answer: Go to whatismyip.com

How do I get English language?
Answer: On the main screen click the Asetukset key. On the nest screen click on Englanti

Some In-game Commands

Special chat commands for the network game:
Commands for the game host:
/admin xx Sets admin-password to xx. Password is removed with: /admin off. (check corresponding command for players).
/wait n Sets the wait time between competitions (autohost).
/password xx Sets the game password to xx. Password is asked from players before entering the games. Password is removed with: /password off.
/spect [on/off] Off = Players on ice can not see the chat of spectators (waiting players). Host can still see it.
/script [file.txt] Sends or performs 10 chat-messages or commands from text-file. File must be located in "static"-folder. Commands from a file "autohost.ini" are performed automatically every time when the host is started.
/lures [on/off] Six extra lures are randomized for each competition.
Commands for admins (and the host):
/mute N Mutes player N out of general chat. Only private messages are allowed.
/unmute N Removes muting of player N.
/kick Lists the players and corresponding numbers.
/kick N Kicks out player N and prevents connection for 5 minutes.
/kick N X Kicks out player N and prevents connection for X minutes.
/unban Allowes again all IP-addresses banned with kick-command.
/admins Shows all players with admin rights.
Commands for players:
/admin Shows if the player has admin rights
/admin xx Gets admin-rights with password xx.
/names Displays player names and corresponding IDs (used in private messages)
/N message Sends a private message to player N
/ver Displays the game version of the host
/help Shows the list of available commands
Note! All the chat commands and reponses are in English. Selected game language has no effect on them.

Looks like a cool game but I can't get any sound and don't know when I have a fish or how to tell where to drill my holes.

I am assuming you have got past the first screen that says "Pro Pilkki" and on to the next screen, or the main screen. The "Asetuukset" key is the third one down. If everything is in English, don't worry about this.

The sound control is also in the settings. You can tell you have a fish by the spring bobber on the end of your rod. If you click and hold the spring bobber, you can slide it in and out for more or less stiff. Just like in real icefishing, you can drill your hole anywhere in the lake.

wow....i love this game - its such a great game for being so small of a file

kept saying to myself, just one more game, just one more game..lol

It was definitely a challenge, and still is in more difficult modes, especially when there aren't any instructions to help get you started. I have still yet to catch that elusive Pike!

what an addicting game lol....my first fish in practice mode was a 1179g RB trout i wish i could have got that during one of the tournaments lol. oh well, i finally placed 1st in the easy cup and im moving on to medium lol. anyone interested in seting up a little online tournament with IS members?

The "instructions" menu is locked out on the version I downloaded.. how do you reel in a fish? Is this like other fishing games where you just let your line sit there, or do you have to give it some action?

to set the hook i just click the same button used to put the line in the water and it will reel the fish in. as far as action, i always give it a couple of jigs, it seems to work

There is a Faq's webpage in the first post on this thread. There aren't neccesarily instructions there, but some helpful information.

I don't think this is like other games out there. There are multiple lure options, worms options, and you can jig your rod. Click on the worm icon to change worm colors. Click on the lure icon right next to the worm to change you lure.

To set the hook, click and hold the arrow on the rod, when the bobber goes up or down, run your mouse up the pad, jerking the rod up in a hook set. You can also deadstick it and click the lure up/drop icon; you can also hit the space bar on your keyboard to reel in, set the hook. I have caught fish, deadsticking, slight jigs, and much jigging. This is very realistic to icefishing.

Its your internet connection speed or else it's the servers capped upload speed. And also could be the ping between you and the server hosting it. I think its from Finland is it not?

I wish he had taught me the old language! Oh well at least he taught me how to fish! have fun but i'm going to do the real deal! Until the ice melts!
