NE South Dakota or Lake of the Woods?

Pick one and say why. I have a hard time believe the fishing is that much better at lake of the woods and it's twice as far and sure to be more expensive.....

Depends on what you're fishing for. I don't think you're going to find the pre-spawn beast Northerns in SD like you'd find in LOTWs.

Mainly looking for perch and the occasional walleye. Panfish would be a bonus.
