SPEARING! MAKING MY OWN SPEAR
« on: May 02, 2017, 09:28 PM »
I want to make some spears for myself and a few friends.  I have a buddy who can cut the spear heads out on a laser table but he needs a design. I'm looking for someone who can help me out bu either sharing thier template or helping me create one using CAD/DXT. I am no good with computers let alone designing something using CAD. Any help is very appreciated! Help me with this and I'll hook you up with a spear when i get a few done.

below is a link to a picture of what i have in mind

I'm not sure if you progressed forward with this or if you're still looking for help, but I could create a Vector graphic (SVG) for to use as a template. I think it could be converted to cad with some ease, but let me know if you're interested.

Good luck.

One piece or lazer cut spear heads are not a good idea if you hit a rock in the bottom of lake your s.o.l...  cause you probably broke off a tine  now spring steel tines that are removeable would be the way to go.. like a drilled hole that a round or square time passes threw then thread the tine and use nylock nuts on top and bottom of spear head so it don't shift or slide around..  any how just some advise.. so best of luck at the venture..

OH- a sort of bridge with drilled and tapped holes, and tines that are threaded to fit.. could have spare tines. brilliant!
