If you are looking to purchase one for ice fishing, fan cooled and picked track is the way to go. We have other sleds, but only use them when there is plenty of snow cover. Older Polaris fan cooled 440 for ice fishing.
I like to walk on water.

1994 Skidoo Safari Deluxe. Fan cooled. 377. Dual carb.
Great on fuel. Great in powder.
I just wish it had reverse to make it easier to get off trailer.

I have a 2009 Ski Doo Renegade 800 and for my wife I have a 2007 Ski Doo 550 Fan.  I take her sled ice fishing.  hahaha

Dumb question but what is "picked track" mean?

A picked track means it has carbide or steel studs installed in the track for better control/traction on iced surfaces.

I rock a 1987 Ski doo Safari 377 with a studded track, works great for fishing!

2015 Tundra LT 600ACE....not picked and a 4 stroke...haven't had any problems overheating on glare ice.  I'd like to think I'm smart about how I use it in low snow conditions, but so far hasn't been a problem.

Still have my '10 and '11 Tundra LTs (despite trying to sell one this year).
Also have a couple '02 Polaris 550's (picked tracks).
