I'm am just hating summers anymore. As summers go this has been easy...pretty much nice weather. If I can make it through August I'll be ok.
Last winter was the worst ice season I ever had. I'm traveling this winter...not going to turn out like last year

my wife's uncle gave me some very old tilts that his grandfather used in Canada.
they will catch a fish a century later :o

Come on Mr September your rt around the corner. Then October is staring us rt in the face. Then November can be early ice at times!!!!!! Wow, that even got me pumped up. Time to get things out and see what's on my needs and want list😉😉

I love ice fishing, the quiet peacefulness of a weekday on the lake where few are out there and the fish are biting, the flags are popping, & you have time to just reflect on nature and your surroundings , is awesome.

But having sold my summer business last year that kept me working 7 days a week from march to October,  and literally not having any time for warm weather trout or bass fishing in the last 10 years, I have totally enjoyed this summer fishing, catching at least 200 trout this spring and some monster bass this summer.

The bottom line, all fishing is great!!!!

I like your optimism here. However, last year was the fourth season in a row that I have seen fisherman fall through due to going out too early. This site, as useful as it is, is a very dangerous weapon in the wrong hands. We owe it to ourselves and other fisherman to provide acccurate information when it comes to safety. And you sir are making inaccurate predictions saying 90 days. Moderators you know what to do. Sad!
