Great last ice trip of the year

Made one last trip on the ice with SHarps and my son today and it was so worth it. We hit a small private pond that had 4 inches of black ice and 3 inches of white ice and killed the trout, ended up with 20 trout and 15 bluegills. We took them on jigging rods and jawjackers with a salmon egg for bait. My son caught the big fish for the day not 10 minutes after we drilled our holes. Family, Great Friends, Great Fishing and Great Food, awesome way to end the season.

I couldn't have said it any better icetilt. Great time for sure! Glad we were able to help your son's buddy catch his first trout as well. That's always a great feeling. Nothing like some 3lb trout on a ultralight st croix.   . Time for some rig making and fly tying.

Next time redgiant. Last trip of the year, we were focused on catching fish.
