Ice report for Holter Lake

Has anyone been out on the ice at Holter this week?
Wanted to get out last week, decided to get sick instead.

The ice has rapidly deteriorated on Holter. Edges are mostly gone and the ice is honeycombed. It took some searching and a LONG jump to get on the ice last night. I mainly went to check on the ice out progress. Once I was able to get on I fished 8 feet of water and caught 40 perch in about 45 minutes. They bit really good from 7:30 til 8:15. But getting on is too risky and tough now. The ice away from shore is definitely getting bad. I am DONE DONE which is an official DONE this time. Looking forward to open water and next ice season. I would anticipate open water trout fishing being available within a week at most.

I was at Holter today, shore line is breaking up, 8" of ice on the lake, 4" is honeycombed. You will not be able to fish it this coming weekend.

Also thanks to hooked up! Drove over last weekend and yes it's getting pretty sketchy. Few guys around the open edges with fly rods.
