I was on Willy this morning at 5 checking the ice as I walked out on my spot. We went 300 yards when
my buddy noticed the open water ahead. By dawn it was clear the wind over the weekend blew open the lake
from the South prettty much all the way north to the boat access. Wind was calmer than a fart quite amazing
on that lake. The lake skimmed over by 9am and snow started settling on top. Just a heads up..
I caught a nice 2.5 pound laker and combined caught another 25 perch (all small) a great wrap up to the
season.
