Storm update

I just got an update on the storm via work from the National Weather Service.  They issued a blizzard warning starting tonight at 8PM and going until 8PM tomorrow, snow accumulations in the valley area 14 to 20 inches of snow, and in the higher elevations two feet of snow or more.

so the question is will the snow be good for the ice or bad? If say there is a lake with
4 inches  ....how will the 2 feet of snow affect it?

Snow will be bad for the ice.   It will insulate the ice and do it will rot from bottom up.

At my house we had 31 inches of snow as of 5:30PM and was and still is snowing here.

Robbie, just try and think how heavy 2 ft of wet snow is. No, this is the end of the end.

the news station said it was a record breaker, we have about 20"-24" give or take in my yard. Can't really tell because of all the drifting from the wind. All I know is when it got to a foot deep I ran the snow blower and then later in the afternoon I ran it again and it was about a ft deep.

I GOT 26" of the Garbage.Lol.
Its melting pretty good.Thank the Lord.
