Coldest day of season

 We're not done yet. Went Saturday in the wind and cold. One of the coldest days ever on the ice for me. You never see me wear gloves. Well I forgot my bait net and had to bare hand bait out of bait bucket. The hands got cold fast and the gloves came out. For fish saftey we didn't get many pics . Joe had the hot hand with the most fish and biggest fish of day. Looks like we'll get out again too

Forgetting the bait net on a decent day stinks but I can't imagine grabbing bait bare handed this past weekend!!!! Nice work getting out there in that weather.  I'd guess we've all forgotten the net at some point and I'll bet you buy a couple extra nets and leave them in with your gear now.....

I froze my butt off on Saturday all to get skunked.  I think it was too cold for the fish.  Luckily I bought 4 more ice anchors for the shanty and if I didn't have those it would have been a very quick trip.
