Made it out today after being sick for going on 3 weeks. It ain't over yet had 10" of ice, bottom 5" was clear hard. Fishing was slow but brought home 12 crappie, beats watching fishing on tv. Hoping for one more week! Also no plank needed yet, ice still locked up right to shoreline.

I'm done as well. I saw 2 smaller local lakes today totally open water. Next time out will be in my boat. Hate to say it but its over!

Still around 30 inches of ice on the lake I fished yesterday and today. Saw three snowmobiles on the ice. Caught lots of rainbows on both days.

there isn't any more ice around here. But it's raining and it's supposed to chill this evening so there will be ice on the roads in the morning so it'll be tough getting out with the kayak. This winter has been a real drag. It's gotten to the point that I just gave up on it and now I'm waiting for sunburns and Nantucket sleigh rides on my kayak!!!  :thumbsup:

24-30 inches today. This morning all was good. This afternoon the sun was softening the top 6 inches but everything below that is solid. Some of the edges are thin and opening up but the south shore still has easy access.

Away at the moment, but last report I received was 42" of good clear ice on all the lakes.  Atlin Lake has 48", and no snow at all.

Pike and lake trout have been co-operating.  Burbot fishing has been very good for the past eight weeks, plenty of fish in the 4-6 pounds range, and a few whoppers.

Forecast is for -10 C tonight, so things should stay pretty tight for a while yet.
