small pond on a flowage - dead smelt on a quick strike rig  hanging one foot below the bottom of the ice.      as of March 8th there is a good solid 3 feet of ice   :tipup:

Sweet action.... What part of South Dakota?  I was there a few years back in se south dakota, near DeSmit.  We did awesome on the perch, walleye, and pike.
