Nice surprise

Decided to check the ice conditions after the week of warm weather and rain....it was  60* here a few days ago and windy so i was not expecting much ice .... To my surprise the conditions were very positive the edges on all the bays i checked on the st lawrence river were solid .... Drilled thru 16 inches of hard black ice no white candled ice on top like i expected  :) only problem now is 20 below windchill for tomorrow ... Oh well looking forward to getting back on the ice !

Bitter cold tonight/tomorrow for sure. Wish we could have stacked these days together back in mid January.

Good to hear, have a trip planned this week to our farm in massena. Hoping to find some ice as our ice was non existent in Jersey this year
