I went by tipper yesterday and there were large areas of open water. What amazed me were the people fishing on Simmons pond during that rain yesterday after when I came back through!

To be out in the pouring rain and thunder/lightning. I push the envelope on sketchy ice but thunder/lightning storm I draw the line

11-12 inches on Big Tupper.
Those guys on Simond had 80 fish in last 3 days. 16 inches.

That was me, my brother and my son. didn't see any lightning but we came up from Ma. and in Ma a rain storm and some wind doesn't stop us. we stayed at Red Top and like jay said we caught over 80 fish in 3 days! Lots of big bass and lots of pike. even some nice perch so a quick 45 minute rain storm didn't bother us that mush, just 45 minutes at the laundry mat that night.
A bad day of ice fishing is better than any day at work!
