How's the ice towards the border? Thinking of hitting Champlain one more time before the ice is gone... please let me know! Fish on!

Plenty of ice for walking. Theres 10-14in depending on where you are. The access areas arent too beat up yet but that may change with the wind and rain they are calling for. Just stay away from the river mouths, the miss river is raging now.

Shores are going fast, especially with rivers pumping in at near flood stage right now.

open water is moving further and further north by the day. probably about 1/4 to 1/2 mile north of the swanton-alburgh bridge now, hard to tell. shorelines in general are not good. bring a plank and wear a life jacket.

No. Rivers pumped in dirty water in certain parts of the lake.

Between rivers and farm runoffs is the reason for murky water. Just stay away from those two things and you'll be in clear water.

Good Luck with that.
