Another Use for a Jet Sled (February Flood Fun)

   Well, I discovered a new use for our jet sled today. It's great for toting around all of your ice fishing gear, but it also makes a nifty little watercraft! I took our sled out on the flooded field next to our house to enjoy the warm weather. Got some hilarious double-takes and waves from passing traffic. A little bit tippy, but that's part of the challenge. I can't wait to try it out on Champlain this Summer. Just put some rod holders in the back and your ready to go.  ;)





Have fun fishing this weekend everyone and stay safe! Looks like Crayfish2 and I will be heading to New Hampshire tomorrow for a few days, so we won't be hitting the water, but instead stocking up on some goodies at Bass Pro.   :tipup: :tipup:

We have a little clamp-on downrigger that would work perfect on that, PB!  Next time you take it out for a spin, we'll have to get you all rigged up for open water fishing.

Looks like rain off and on most of next week, and only a couple of nights below freezing.  Time to get the boat out!

Couldn't agree more. Was expecting nothing but bad news on the VT boards today. But this made me laugh. Pick up a couple rod holders for the back there and you are in business. Be trolling on Champlain in no time.

Might start carrying a paddle with me in the late season. You never know when the shores are going to open up and leave you stranded. Empty the sled, paddle across, and grab a couple planks.  :)
