HELP ME PLAN A TRIP TO DEIFENBAKER OR LAST MOUNTAIN
« on: Feb 19, 2017, 07:43 AM »
Hello peeps,I want to plan a trip to Sask from AB ,I plan on flying and renting a SUV 4X4 to use for fishing. Here is a list of questions. This trip would likely be the 3rd week of march.

1. Which lake would you pick for the biggest perch, pike and walleye?
2.I will need to rent an auger and a motel/caben etc near the chosen lake.
3. I have never fished either lake so some info on these lakes would be awesome.

I thank you all in advance .

Can a person rent an auger anywhere? Might be best off to pay a little cash for a guide, regardless of which lake you choose. Or maybe one of the nice folks on here will let you tag along.

If you want a good chance at making the most of your trip talk to Chad at Saskatchewan outdoors.  Wife got me a guided trip for Christmas for big pike through him.  Took my 3 teenage boys and myself for the day.  All three of the boys caught their personal  best pike 21.6 lb  15 lb and 9lb.  With several in that 9 to 15 lb range.  He guides a variety of different species on last mountain.  He puts in the time and effort for what you pay.  His website is Saskatchewanoutdoors.c om  I would definitely recommend him.
