Pulling portable behind TV help!
« on: Feb 18, 2017, 11:47 AM »
This time of the year when I pull my otter sled behind my atv with tracks it gets so much water and slush splashed on it that even with an otter cover everything gets wet inside. Was wondering if mud flaps would work but can't find much info on anything so I'm looking for help!!

mud flaps might eliminate some of it, but you'll need to afro engineer a bracket mount for your wheeler. Try putting together a smitty. Even cross country skis would work in this weather & lack of snow. You might want to have at least 12" height on the sled running tracks. The cheap way around it would be to cover it with a blue tarp & bungie's.

Plastic on top of the cover and secured.

I covered the otter cover with a plastic tarp last yr works okay but lots of work if you move around much.

Are you towing with a tow bar or a rope? I use a long rope, I still get a little slop, but not as much as I used to.

Maybe you could try spaying a couple coats of camp dry on your cover to waterproof it.

Could make a mud flap out of a tarp that goes almost to the ground
