Well it looks like this is the last of the last ice here in the thumb of Michigan. When does everyone start coming back to iceshanty.com. I usually hunt through December, unless tags are filled  & then concentrate on hard water. When does the Iceshanty team fire up the site?

Stick around we are only in mid season here. I measured 20" of ice yesterday trucks driving all over the lakes.

I usually get pretty excited about ice fishing around the beginning of November. Short season again for us in Illinois. I'll check in over the summer every once in awhile.

I was actually excited about findmyfish, but I guess no one from Nebraska really participates. Ice gear is put away been out three times in the small boat this month!

Yep.....MFF is like the Dead Sea. I wish every state had their own "OPEN WATER" section (if the members of the state requested it) that anything/everything open water could be posted. I think this site would see a jump in membership numbers as well as continuous traffic during ice-off months. Just my thoughts..........

I guess the upper midwest, northern, MN, WI. Dakota's were the only cold pocket in the united states other than Alaska. I measured 19-1/2" ice this afternoon from bottom of ice to water line.

I'm on this site all year, yeah it gets slow after ice out but still some of the guys hang out here.
