Anywhere in the state is going to be a slushy, snowy mess.

Between last weekend and this week's snow, we have a minimum of 18" of fresh snow on the ground north of the notches -- bring your snowshoes...!!

Also, when you drill a hole be prepared for the water to gush up out of the hole making it even more of a slushy mess...Have a great time though, its supposed to be real nice weather, personally I will be out target shooting..

Alton Bay was tough walking today, 8" of snow and deeper on top of 6" of slush off the beaten path. This old overweight bald ba$t@rd was huffing and puffing all the way.

Pretty much what I found on a bay to the north today. Could deal with snow, but the 6 inches of slush was brutal. Going to feel it in the morning!

My prediction is a Slushfest anywhere you step off the beaten path and into snow this weekend. With the warm weather approaching, it tends to make everything worse, not better for travel. It's gonna suck but gotta make the best of it.
Wheelers will have a hard time, snowmobiles not so much unless stuck in the slush.
The good news is we need to get rid of the snow so actually the warm weather will help in the long run. Get the snow packed down so the water can hit the surface and air. Drill small holes to help the water drain back into the lake and help float the ice back up.

Would a polaris ranger with chains make it? I haven't brought it out onto the snow filled lake yet so I don't know how it handles.

me too..painting a buddies new house.:drinking like I was ice fishing
when chuck norris played golf for money, chuck marked down a hole in zero every time, the golf pro said, "chuck: you can't score zero on a hole." Chuck norris turned towards the man and said, "I'm chuck norris, the man proceeded to pour gas over his body and set himself on fire because that would be less painful than getting roundhouse kicked by chuck norris....chuck norris roundhouse kicked him in the face anyways
