Per a similar topic on Michigan Sportsmen Forum.....some guys are getting a bunch one guy got 1...seems hit or miss.  I usually try to make it up there once or twice in earlier March....my experience is to get as far away from anybody else as possible...get there early and go for a walk.

Last year on Green....We did good that night....you can see we were well outside the "pack".

try off the national music camp or the far south side. 30-50FOW
I'd rather be fishing than sleeping

Be my destination Saturday night.  Any information on ice thickness?  Just wondering if I am ok just bringing up the nils or if I have to haul around the power auger?

Been hearing mixed reports as well but worth trying while I have the chance.  Only smelt I caught this year, bounced back into the hole  :(

Nils it is!  Going to pack light with a jet sled and leave the shanty home.

Thanks for the info guys. It's been 2 or 3 years since I have been up there. Can we still park at the music camp? I know that closed down a few years ago.

I got up there last night and did well. A lot of people out in shanty town.

Fished for about 3 hours and got 96 in the bucket. They really slowed down around 9pm. It was great getting some of these little guys for the freezer.

Nice meeting you too. I may try to make it back up next weekend if the warm weather doesn't destroy the ice.

That's us I think, way over on the left headhunter. We got 21 but left early. There's a brand new glo spoon just under the hole there( line touched the lantern).

Went out Saturday and got 103 myself. Fishing was hot the first hour and then slowed down after that.
