Coming to visit
« on: Feb 13, 2017, 09:12 PM »
Hey neighbors!

I'm from Kalispell Montana and I'm Coming to visit my grandfather who is having medical problems near Boise. I can only visit him part of the day due to his medical problems. I have always been an avid ice fisherman so I'm looking to pop some holes to kill some time. Any good tips on where to go would be awesome.

Thanks all!

Hi MT.Trout. I don't know where you will be staying, But Cascade is the hot spot right now. CJ Strike, Mountain Home area has ice in the Bruneau Arm  (Cottonwood), but with the weather warming, the ice may be in question. I was at Cottonwood on Sunday and the ice was clear and firm, maybe 25 people fishing. There was also a couple fishing at the boat docks thru the ice and catching small trout. Cottonwood is easier to access and travel to and from the Boise area. Enjoy your time here and if you have any more questions feel free to ask. Prayers to your Grandfather and Good Day on the Ice Neighbor.
