I finished up my ice rod build of this season a couple weeks ago. I used the dh customs al dente noodle blank in 36 inch length and did an all black look with an orange indicator wrap on the tip.







and the best part of building your own rods...... catching fish!

21.99 plus shipping. One of the more expensive blanks I think but I like how fast it transitions from noodle tip to backbone, the hooksets are very solid to were it's almost hard to unhook perch haha

I'm a DIY fan and the only way I could ever see an improvement on this is if you rebuild anything you fished with in your past - I've re-wrapped a couple rods that I fished with when I was young.  I got away from fishing - with my Dad - and the rods decayed. 

I took the blanks and learned to wrap guides, etc.  I can now fish with gear I used to fish with as a boy - My personal favorite has a hole drilled in the butt so it could be tied to the gunnel and not lost in case it got away from me.  Little Brown is a special rod along with Big Brown and Special Green (Dad's rod) - I may re-name it to Green Hornet, it stings fish...or did.
