Abanakke Ice, South of RT 4
« on: Feb 03, 2017, 07:12 AM »
Fishermen,

We are heading to Indian lake area soon, staying on Lake Abanakee. First timers. I have read the ice can be unsafe in spots due to the river currents. Recommendations for safe Ice by Big Brook Road, and Jerry Savarie Road?

WATCH the ice around the bridge on big brook rd.[rt 4] now places to fish,if you are standing on
that bridge, look to the left there is a bay good fishing on most of the left side of the bay in the
ft zone[spud.spud, spud is must]all the way up the left side to the little inlet by stanton rd.
good pannies,some pike,some bass.lots of rockies,perch most around[9 to 10in]
hope this helps

Riverrat2,

Thanks for the info. We will be around that spot, then looking at Adirondack Lake or Indian Lake for Saturday.
