What Ice Fishing Suit Do You Use
« on: Feb 01, 2017, 09:18 AM »
Don't want to turn this into a fashion site, just wondering what other brands are being used. I just got the Anorakk Sikre Floating ice fishing suit. Decided on it based on price $235 for coat and bibs and a 3 year warranty. Hope I never need the float part of it but went with it for safety reasons. Have worn it once and so far very pleased, not too bulky and seems to be very warm.
If you think your going to have a bad day you will seldom disappoint yourself!

I got the Striker Hardwater bibs and Predator coat.  Before that I wore my Woolrich hunting coat and Carhartt insulated pants.

Striker hard water suit. Love it, so warm that I only have to wear pants and a t shirt under it no matter the weather and be warm. Never tested it to see if it actually floats, never really wanna find out either.

Have striker hardwater, also for safety reasons as mentioned, and always fish outside , another major concern is warmth, you will not find a warmer suit that is wind proof and waterproof, and floats!!  Consider all the above mentioned when purchasing!!

Striker Hardwater suit, for below stated reasons. Hope I never have to depend on floatation abilities as well.

Ice armor Extreme (gray). Very happy with it. Very warm. But I'm not sure if it floats. Thanks!

I have the clam ice armor blue. Great suit. More than enough warmth for me. If i do get extreme low single digit temps which dont happen that often in my are. I just throw on an extra underlayer. The grey suit is wY to warm for me.. Must first concider the average temps in the areas you spend time.

I've had Arctic Armor now for nearly ten years, they still look great and continue to serve me well.

Striker hard water bib and coat. Sometimes it can be too warm but there are clever ways to let some cold air in the suit to regulate.

Artic Armor Plus.  This suit is light, waterproof, warm, plus the insulation is buoyant.  It is supposed to float a 350 lb. man.  I watched videos online before I bought a set.  Love this outfit.

Striker Predator more damn pockets, hope I remember where I put what. Got the set for 240. At dicks. Gonna try it out in a hr with minimal clothes. It's 9 now. We will see if I made the right choice. I do move a lot. And have the luxury of a Kenia flip.

I just use my swim suit as we don't have winters in PA anymore...was going to purchase a float suit this year but I can't see spending that type of jack on something I'll only need to use two days a year.

Striker Ice, bibs and Jacket, it works for me . I never have used the liners in the bibs, I just wear a good pair of Marino wool long johns and good to go..
