Where to fish?
« on: Jan 30, 2017, 10:33 AM »
Hey everyone looking for somewhere to fish Friday??  I want to set my tip ups for lakers or walleyes don't really care which but I also want to be able to pass the time jigging for decent size perch or crappie.  I have fished West lake, Canada lake, Saratoga lake and Schroon lake this year and don't care about trying somewhere new just as long as there's access.  Let me know what you think?
A bad day fishin still beats a good day at work!!

Have you tried Great Sacandaga Resevoir, eagle lake, paradox lake, lake pleasant, Little Sacandaga  lake, or ballston lake.

There is a nice big parking area next to the fire house. Follow the snowmobile trail Out onto the lake. If you got a wheeler or snowmobile , I suggest trying down by the island.

Schroon, lake George, Brant... The others liusted above are close too.  You can also check the DEC fishing regs for nearby waters.

Thanks! I have been eyeing Collins Lake and Great Sacandaga but the others are new. I will have to look them up in the DEC fishing regs as suggested by EatenByLimestone.
