Long Lake

Looking to ice fish long lake in the next few weeks, was wondering about ice conditions and advice for pike and walleye? Any info is appreciated!

On the reports and conditions board, click on Most Lakes/ Hamilton thread. There is a link on the first post to the long Lake web cams. Also, there are no walleye in there.

i live on Long Lake,be very carefull where you go,theres open water all along the south end ,and at the bridge
there is pike,no walleye,

Surprised to hear such a shallow/narrow lake up in the ADKs isn't solid yet.  ???

Long Lake is actually a part of the raquette river,theres a fair amount of current at the inlet end
it freezes over when it gets real cold,thats when you got to be carefull
i went out on it 2 weeks ago with the sled,stopped drilled a hole,i was on2 1/2 inches of ice,20 feet away sled after sled goin by,they had no clue,im damn lucky i didnt go in!!
dont get me wrong,there is fishable ice on the lake

There's parts of the lake that won't freeze even on a cold winter. I fell threw a couple years ago... good like fishing tho

The web cam on Long Lake hasn't been updated since 1/24, I don't think it's working.
