First hit this morning was a keeper eye, where I set up the purple hub put camera with fake weeds, sat for 2 hours, never had another hit. I must have been in the hub when slayer went by. Went hole hopping and kept a fat 18" bow for the smoker. Pretty slow on the perch, only 5 for the day. Think another morning exercise is in order for tomorrow.

Ill be there tomorrow early also. yah i saw the hut had no idea as I walked by. Fished 5 areas last area i got 12 perch in a hour, missed at least that many. saw stu on way out had a really nice eye laying on the ice.

I'll be back out there Saturday and aiming to get out to 40fow to chase eyes in the basin...if this cold snap has made the ice out further thicker

Suppose to be there today, Slayer went yesterday and wide open water. Pretty sure this is one of those years the flats will be unfishable to ice.

Great reminder Nate! Been following the "chit chat" page, 4 people have died back East this past week, with a successful rescue on Saginaw Bay Mi. Stay safe Peeps!!

Be safe you guys; we are having the longest January thaw here (PA) in memory. Our Southern lakes are shot, and the lakes at elevation (2000', not 10,000+; like above Leadville) are just starting to heal. Fishing is great but not worth dying for! Enjoyed 'your my perch is smallest' contest.
