superglue or ?
« on: Jan 20, 2017, 10:43 AM »
The little plastic body on my Ratfinkee jigs usually get "un-stuck" with use and slides down the hook shaft. Anyone know the best way to reattach them? My first thought was superglue, but I don't know if it has a lingering stink that will turn fish away. I also wondered about gorilla glue, but there are no gorilla fish in my area to catch.

I can't speak for freshwater jigs, but I use super glue on jigs for striped bass, and they don't seem to care.
Of course there is a difference of seasons and water temps between the two, but it should work fine.

I would advise that you use any glue you choose VERY SPARINGLY, as too much can create a stiff crust that could affect the jigs movement.
