With no safe ice I've been getting bored. Today I decided to fletch up some arrow shafts. I guess I can't call them what I was calling them because my picture disappears.

Nice,With the ice taking a hike I will be out hoping one of the bucks I've been waiting for walks by and didn't loose it's antlers.

This is my first xbow so with the lack of ice I've been concentrating on it. I just finished the last of the mods I wanted to make .. she's all ready for next season. All I have left now are a few more arrows to renock and refletch.  Here's a pic :

Nice! I have the Bow-Tech Stryker, love it. Being there's no ice, my friend and I decided to try and call coyotes this past Saturday. The coyotes didn't cooperate but we did manage to bag a nice red fox. I'd rather be fishing. Lou

Over 300 people will be attending The Federation of Sportsmen's Club Bergen County Chapter Venison dinner this coming Saturday night at the Pompton Lakes Elks lodge in Pompton Lakes. A few tickets remain unsold. My friends and I donated several deer for the occassion. A good time will be had by all. Lou

Let me make myself clear, I DO NOT disapprove of harvesting of animals however killing animals just for the hell of it and leaving the animal for waste is what i`m against. My father hunted and trapped in NJ for many years and did very well. Venison burgers out on the ice and venison stew was a staple at my house growing up.. I mean look at the one doe in the pic posted, I`ve seen dogs bigger than that!

Both of the does where over 100 pounds that is a 8 foot bed the doe to the right is pulled up . So I guess your wrong again just like your weather report was wrong.

I know I checked three lakes today and they only had 3 to 3 1/2 inches and a inch was frozen snow that was soft  :o
