Hit Sabbattus with my neighbor Mike who has never caught a pike.  We set a couple traps for pike and jigged for perch and crappies.  The action wasn't crazy, but steady.  Fished from 9:30 until about 2:30.  Ended up with 6-8 pike, a dozen white perch, 2 crappie, 1 sunfish and about 30-40 yellow perch.  Shrinkage even made a guest appearance and landed a decent pike on the jig rod!!

I've seen alot of people hold them that way. With teeth like that I'm not putting my hand near that mouth for sure

Do it a lot if I'm keeping walleye or pike, they usually quit moving an can't hit you with all them teeth haha.

That was his jig rod. I'll say, that pike was screaming out line. Real seemed to do well.

Great time out there Sawyer! I usually keep the Pike fishing on the down low it upsets my Salmon . The drag works great on the reel, plenty of it. It generally only gets dusted off for smelting but I threw a dead smelt on a little Hali type jig and pikey likey!
