West Side Pond

Fished West Side Pond today. Slow day overall until around 4pm. Caught 3 small pickerel and a large mouth bass within the the slot of do not keep. Good 7in black ice. Good day overall to just get out.

Really missed one of the Shoe boys yesterday.  Including the faithful jigger, we must have iced about 30 fish including a 19 and 1/2" LMB, a 18" LMB, and a 16" brown trout.  The trout had no less than 13 alewives in it's gut.  Fatty.  It also came out of the deepest hole, last tipup that was put in.  You just never know...

Great picture!

Anybody going to West Side this weekend? My cheap arse broke down and bought a spud bar for cutting some jigging holes. Im thinking Saturday ill be there.

I may do it.  Was planning on taking my fourth grade students fishing, but will postpone until the ice is a bit better.
