Champlain Bridge Ice
« on: Jan 14, 2017, 09:10 AM »
Just wondering if anyone has been out by the Champlain Bridge at all. I'm going to be in that area Monday and hoping to find some decent ice over deeper water. Thanks for any feedback!

2 days ago nothing was safe north of the bridge where the deep water is.

people were on at mccuens and south of there with wheelers before the warm up. the water is not super deep in that area.

Awesome! I'm hoping to find water in the 25-35' range, like near the channel. Hoping it's decent...

Yup was there. Windy but not really cold. Caught a few nice perch but not like last weekend when the bite was good. Ice was good.

Same here yesterday. A few nice perch. The bite kicked in just before dark.

Fished it mid day today and iced a dozen nice perch.

Ice is black ~ 6" +/- south with the bridge in view parked at McCuen Slang.

Good for ice boating and ice skating too.
