Its a small pot hole for a pond and you never know what you will catch.
Pan fish not bad if you can get past the small gills.
Not bad for crappie not bad size.
It is like a volcano upside down deep in the center.
Hope this helps

X2 on neatons report, lots of small gills and decent numbers of crappie, and the occasional nice bass jigging there too. Not a bad little spot for some action.

My buddy got a decent tiger musky out of there 2 years ago (c&r). Not sure if carters was stocked with them at one point or if it was a left over or escapee from cossy...

XXXbeer I had a over 40" Tiger in Carters three years ago I could put my hand on fishing in the summer sitting in a kayak.
Wow it was fun just the wow factor was like a "10" Wife with me in her kayak and all she could say was " THAT THING IS BIG"
I have been told that DEC has put tigers in carters due to the amount of small pan fish. Hope it doesn't hurt the crappys.'
To the starter of the carters lake Greenwich thread let us know how you did.

Fish it open water for bass. Ice fished it once sense I moved close to it 5 years ago. Won first place for Bass for the MFF online summer derby that year. Ice fishing caught 31 panfish that one time, only 1 was bigger then the palm of my hand. It gets pounded!

It's not on the stocking reports for Tiger's, the ones caught were probably one that got washed out of Cossy!

They're better men than I if they can fillet anything from that pond.
5" crappie are cute and all, but you'd be hard pressed to find one at 9". There's so much better water right up the creek.
The angle of the dangle is directly proportionate to the heat of the beat.
