Looking for good ice for Sat 1-14 and Sun

Looking for some good ice... went up to Winchester last weekend but looking to hit something closer to central CT.

You may need to make a couple more posts...it's either 3 or 5 to unlock the conditions boards, be be advised there's not a lot of very current info there. Sometimes its better to read every recent post and all the comments to get the best idea what's up. Central CT will be difficult especially after this recent weather. Good luck!

 Anybody hit the north bay in bantam  today? Thinking about fishing there tomorrow with my brother and Bry65.

Northwest is best: don't know about any decent ice in the center of the state right now-but Burr was solid yesterday- hit into a few good bass+ a 25" 4&1/2lb. pickerel w/ myousin& a buddy-good times; but you still gotta drive to get on good ice.

here in southeast / central ct.
locally there is a lot of completely open water !! found one lake that is locked up but un walkable at this point .  looks like it'll have to be a crystal lake , mashapaug, mansfield, and or winchester lake kind of drive to find anything decent.    the little bit of snow we got last night doesn't help the cause either. but maybe well get lucky and have 2.5 inches to play on tomorrow.........
