Same here. I bought an Eskimo Power auger for this year. Would love to wear off some paint.

I'm guilty 12 months out of the year. My House is just a big tackle box.  Just tell them you only spent $20.00 when they ask. Most have no clue and and it will keep you out of trouble or at least. It some time.

Didn't get new gear, but did go out on the ice before Christmas for the first time in years. I knew it was too good to be true to have a good long ice season.

Weather really stinks…started building a pole barn right after deer season d/t it was in the 70's, then got really cold right after put the poles in the ground.  So started getting back to ice fishing.  Now it looks like I'll have time to work on the barn again :cookoo:

Well, I went in hole hog this year. I had a cabin style shelter but with the kids getting older I fish by myself most of the time,so I bought a one man flip over. While I was at it I bought a new sonar unit. Everyone is all "this weather is great", me I'm just pissed! My wife just shakes her head.

Bought a shanty last year that has been used more times inside my house with my son than on the ice this year.  Glad I didn't buy that Vex I wanted.

First post here for me!  Love the site, have been a "silent member" for a little while now. Too bad we don't have any ice so I can put my new homemade sled to use!  All aluminum and light weight!  $300 and tons of hours welding to build it!

It's me.

I'm the Eddie Mush of ice fishing (movie ref from A Bronx Tale) for those that don't remember. Bought the new gas auger to replace the old Jiffy at the end of the 2014/15 season and ice has been short lived ever since. Also loaded up on jigs, and a few new St Croix jig rods. Was going to get a shelter this year but maybe if I hold off February will bring us some cold and ice.

Got a Jaw Jacker for Christmas...looking forward to using it this season and jacking out some fish from the mystical ice hole. It may be mid February before I see safe ice on the lake or any ice for that matter.   :o
