Cascade
« on: Jan 13, 2017, 07:14 AM »
This is my first time fishing cascade. I keep seeing some hogs getting pulled out of there.  Any ideas if I can take my ATV up there yet?  I've seen a lot of reports of to much slush and snow.

go back to the community board and click the idaho reports and conditions tab there will be a thread specifically for cascade reports. this always has the most accurate and up to date info and is added to regularly. i have found this to be the most helpfull

I highly doubt an ATV would get you around up there for quite some time, unless it's tracked. More significant snow coming next week. My 155" sled got stuck less than a week ago. The slush came over my muck boots.

On Wednesday, the snow on the west side was deep enough that even with snowshoes we were limited in how far we could go. There was enough snow that you could pack it down and still be out of the slush, but we wore snowshoes all day. Our tracks out were drifted completely shut before we left.

Cancelling my trip up there this week was the right choice, for sure.   ;D
