Finally made it out again!!!

Finally got fishable ice again in Western IL.  I made it out as much as possible on my two days off.  Good thing too because the weather is 40s and 50s with rain the next two weeks. 













New smitty sled worked like a charm.  I went about twice as far from the truck as I usually do.  The thing would actually run into my legs when I stopped because it had so little resistance.

Thanks.  Unfortunately I have to scale a big hill covered in timber to get down to the ice.  A friend gave me a pair of children's skis so I may make some sort of small lantern box to hole hop when its nicer out.

nice fillets congrats!  gota love them c cat fillets. tasty meat and they fillet at a rate of about 30 seconds a fish.

Actually when I refused to throw the antler anymore she was running around the lake with one of the catfish in her mouth.  At that point it was the only one I had caught so I was hoping she wouldn't lose it in the snow!!!
