jigging rod length ?
« on: Jan 12, 2017, 02:00 PM »
I hope to do some jigging for smallmouth bass on some small lakes and ponds . I am just wondering what length rod 24'' or 28''would be best for outdoors  over a hole?

I'm tall and prefer a long rod so I'd go with a 28 as my first choice and my second would be a 26.

I use 26" or 27" in the flip over, and a 38" for hole hopping. All light action.

Some people prefer to be directly above the hole.  I prefer to be a bit back from it.
