I know it doesn't open up until the 15th, but has anybody been up there to check on ice conditions?

Pretty sure that area is closed, as in no access, if I remember correctly from a few years ago when we lived there. I'd imagine the ice would be fine with the cold we've had lately. Hopefully someone close will be able to provide an accurate ice report for you.

ice should be just fine I would imagine. there will be plenty of guys out there on opening day, I guarantee it! going to look like damn circus. almost makes me not even want to get out there to tell you the truth!

13 inches of ice the 22 inch pike are in good shape. A great day to be on the ice.

Fished today 5 inches of snow laying flat so far on 14 inches of ice. One small perch all day.

16" everywhere we went today. Not as hard as several days ago, but still lots of ice. Not much biting.
