Dauphin...
« on: Jan 11, 2017, 12:16 PM »
Was thinking of heading up to Dauphin this weekend. I am wondering where to go and what the access is like? I've heard the fishing has been good but have not fished there other than the derby. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

For those interested in Lake Dauphin... two of us were out for 4 hours this morning at the Ochre, ended up landing 25  (16" to 23")     easy take home limit of 8 all in the 17 inch range. Super nice day NO wind!!! Good access and easy driving.

Good day at the Ochre! 16 on the ice in 2 hours(in the am) 2 people and easy limit of 8. Access is good, some drifts to be carefull of. If you want to cross the first ridge best spot is right when you drive unto the ice. Talked to the CO that was out today and he said truck access was good everywhere although some good size ruts at the turtle.

What's truck access like now? Where's the bite?  Thinking of heading up tomorrow,  any info would be greatly appreciated.
A bad day on a frozen lake is still better than a good day doing ANYTHING else  :o

Have not been out for a week but talked to guys that were out today and they said access is good everywhere but the bite is slow. Have to move a round until you find them
