What's the best perch lake by Valentine?

The best perch lake near Valentine, they say, is the one with the most trucks in the parking lot on the weekends. Especially trucks without county numbers on their plates.

It's honestly not a question you're going to get a "straight" answer to because the lakes up there are vulnerable to overfishing on perch and most don't want to be "that guy."

went up there last weekend with my girl, for the first time ever.    fishing was tough at one of em, but we managed to sucker 2 big perch out.  went to one pond that is known for pike and 2nd drop in, my girl gets bit off by something huge.   found another obscure, out of the way pond.. and started pounding dinner plate looking bluegills towards evening.     kinda found that weeds, getting away from the crowds and deeper holes were key as well as using strike indicators... fish were really light biters.   we had to work for them but I definitely see the potential... my guess why it was slow was because that cold front knocked em down and ice was 18 inches... fish were probably getting lethargic.   I want to go back there next month.
