LX 9 showing depth of lure and not locked on bottom

Hey guys
I had to reset my marcum lx9 and now for some reason the middle dial which usually shows the depth and locks on it now reads where my bait is in the water
It changes every time I move my bait  and doesn't stay locked on bottom depth

What's the magic setting to fix that

use dynamic manual depth and not auto depth.
