I hate the smell of skunk

Went out to one of my favorite spots today, backwater off the Cedar north of Cedar Rapids.  Looks like the river has dropped here about 3 ft since first ice. had 10-12 in and 6 ft depth. Drilled holes all over creation but didn't catch or mark a single fish.

Just got skunked on Spirit Lake. My marcum stopped working after about 10 minutes so we tried without it. Not even a bite lol

No not mud, backwater closer to center point. I don't think it has a name.
