Anyone ever fish carter lake?  I work close to there and thinking about trying it out one night after work.

There is a ton of bluegill in there.  Most are small.  They killed it off and restocked it about 5 years ago so it should be good. There is a contour map of it on the NE DNR site.  I'd look at that.  It is really shallow except for 1 or 2 deeper spots. I've heard of people having good luck there in the summer so it should be a good spot in winter too.

I fished there the other day only had about a hour to fish and caught 12 gills 4-8in long. The whole lake is a giant weed bed so almost and place you fish you catch something
