is this a anyone welcome tournament man ive always wanted to fish that lake. I went there one time and bought a four wheeler from a guy that lives there and have thought about it ever since.

I'm pretty sure I just saw a post on facebook saying the tournament is open to the public. But if you don't live there or own a lot there you can't use an atv. I'm about 100 percent sure that's what it said but I would double check

You are correct.  The post says "this is the only time the lake is open to the public".  No ATV's and you have to adhere to the fish limits that accompany the derby.
