Cuba Lake

Was wondering if anyone knows ice conditions on Cuba Lake? Thinking about heading that way next week.

People are fishing the dam area but I would be very careful anywhere else on the lake.

As unbelievable as this is for me to have seen with my own eyes, the ice was fine. I checked 3 areas and there were no obvious concerns. The usual creeks, inlets and weedbeds need caution of course but the general surface was currently acceptable to my standards. If you're a person who doesn't like the measured thickness, this won't work for you.

No fishing today, just did an ice check for my friends that wanted to know how the ice was. There was an unconfirmed ice update that I wanted to check out. I don't trust/believe anything unless I personally know the person or I see it for myself. Kids have basketball in the AM so I won't get out until lunchtime-ish ??  Not sure where I'll go at that point in the day ..??

I can speak for a lot of guys! Yesterday was one of the worst days ever on the cube!one fish after fishing 3/4 of the lake. Should of stayed home and fished in the kids fish tank. Top was getting real soft by 1:00

I tried to get on just now and it's just not worth it. The inlet area is wide open. The sheet is pulled away from the shore a considerable distance. There will be a couple of guys that find a way on here this weekend but there's better options out there than this lake in my opinion.

When I left Saturday the top was getting pretty soft. Sunday was just as warm!  The 4-5 inches that were there are probably less.  I would not go, if that means anything!  It was iffy looking all over to start!

I'm not going fishing until it gets cold for a few days in a row. Too many bad things going on as of late in upstate NY.

Yes.80, one bluegill won it. Only a few other caught, and from what I got, released also! I've had good luck but way more bad! Good luck to all that go when it's fishable again

Haven't fished the North shore in many years.  I used to park on the road near the Yacht Club and walk down the Yacht Club driveway and out onto the ice.  Used to be jumbo gills and some perch and calico's in that area back then.  Any info. whether I can still park on the road and enter at the Yacht Club would be helpful.

You did not answer about parking or walking down the yacht club driveway, do you know?
